Rest your head: Regent of Rotorua

The Regent of Rotorua as been converted from a motel into a stylish boutique hotel that is extremely well located in the centre of Rotorua, a short stroll from the town’s restaurant and cafes. The rooms have super-comfy beds and modern, funky decor and the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to advising about what to see in the area, which is one of New Zealand’s most popular regions for geothermal landscapes and adventure activities. The hotel boats a good restaurant and bar and a pool and small spa, making it a great place to relax for a few days. The hotel is well priced, but if your budget is smaller, there is also the Regent Flaspackers, similarly well located and offering excellent budget accommodation for “business class backpackers”!
