Vietnam Airlines has just launched a direct flight route between the United Kingdom and Vietnam today, making it the first carrier to offer a non-stop service between the two countries. British travellers planning to explore South East Asia will find that the new service makes travel much easier. The service departs from London Gatwick North Terminal and flies to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and the airline has a promotional round-trip offer from £650 including tax available from January 1 to March 31. Not only can passengers save up to seven hours of transit time with these 12 hour direct flights, travellers can start their journey in one city and work their way over to depart from the other; the two destinations are at opposite ends of the country. The flights will run on the latest Boeing 777s, with seating capacity for 309 passengers in economy, upper economy and business class and four weekly flights to choose from.
