Thailand: Songkran Festival
The new year water festival, especially lively in Chiang Mai, with four days of parades, fancy dress and water being thrown everywhere.
Spain: La Feria de Abril
The famous Spring Fair in Seville, the city’s best party with traditional dress, colourful parades, Flamenco dancing and raucous parties.
Netherlands: Orange Festival
Amsterdam’s Orange Festival, or Queens Day, is a well celebrated and liberal holiday with plenty of beer, a massive street and canal-boat dance party, and everyone wearing Orange.
