San Francisco, USA: Pillar Point Inn
This is a truly cosy B&B on the coast at Half Moon Bay, 25m south of San Francisco. The hospitality is awesome, as are the breakfasts! Sadie, Canada www.pillarpointinn.com
Bangkok, Thailand: Old Bangkok Inn
Situated in the heart of Bangkok this small hotel is a beautifully restored old palace, and is also an eco-friendly place. Very chic! Jack, USA www.oldbangkokinn.com
Leh, India: Silver Cloud Guesthouse
We think this is the best guesthouse in Leh – it certainly has the best views! They really looked after us there and helped us arrange our treks. Rooms were nice too, though relatively basic like most places in the area. Louise, UK
Quito, Ecuador: The Secret Garden
In the heart of the old town of Quito, this is a really friendly place to stay with good rooms and a great view of Quito from the roof terrace. Really good value overall. Celia, USA www.secretgardenquito.com
Berlin, Germany: East7 Hostel
This hostel is in a really nice part of the city close to great cafes and independent stores. The rooms were lovely and the bathrooms spotless, plus the staff were super friendly. They provide discount vouchers for local cafes and so on which is a nice touch. Ben, New Zealand www.eastseven.de
